2025 156th Regimental Ball

A group of people dance under colorful lights at a lively indoor party, surrounded by flags and draped fabric, creating a festive atmosphere.

A Regimental Ball is a formal military event held by the PLF regiment to foster camaraderie, celebrate traditions, honor achievements, and reinforce the esprit de corps within the military organization. These balls are formal affairs general steeped in ceremony, protocol, and military customs. As the PLF is one of Canada’s oldest regiments, we are celebrating our 156th Annual Ball.

The purpose of the Regimental Ball is to strengthen the bond between members of the regiment, provide a break from regular duties, and celebrate the unit’s shared values and sacrifices. It also serves as a chance for military personnel and their guests (spouses, partners, etc.) to enjoy a night of formality, tradition, and fellowship.

On behalf of the Regiment, the Commanding Officer of the Princess Louise Fusiliers (PLF), Lieutenant Colonel Matthews, extends her thanks to all and noted, “It was a very successful event!”

The 156th Regimental Ball was the first to be organized in part by the Princess Louise Fusiliers Regimental Heritage Association (PLF-RHA).

The PLF-RHA Board of Directors thanks everyone who attended the Ball!  We sincerely appreciate your support and hope you enjoyed your time. Your participation contributed greatly to the event’s success. Special thanks to the Nova Scotia Highlanders Pipe & Drum Band for providing live music during the intervals.

Pictures of the Event are now available in the Gallery.
